Bench Programming & Module Cloning — No Vehicle Needed | VoltCheck Motors
Bench Programming
Bench programming allows full access to ECUs, TCUs, BCMs and other modules without the vehicle.
This method uses stable power supplies, controlled voltages and secure direct connections to read, write and repair module data safely.
It eliminates OBD risks and enables fast turnaround for workshops, traders and postal customers.
All bench work includes full EEPROM/FLASH backups, verification, checksum correction and data integrity checks.
What We Do
1. Module Bench Activation & Power-Up
Safe powering of modules off-car using:
-
regulated laboratory power supplies
-
breakout boxes
-
OEM-grade cables and adapters
-
bench/boot protocols
This allows controlled access to all internal memory areas.
2. EEPROM / FLASH Data Extraction
Direct reading of memory blocks for:
-
immobiliser work
-
donor module preparation
-
data backup
-
configuration analysis
-
fault investigation
Only safe bench tools are used — no destructive methods.
3. Full 1:1 Module Cloning
Software-level cloning for:
-
ECU
-
TCU
-
BCM / UCH / Body Modules
-
Instrument clusters (supported types)
Cloning includes:
-
EEPROM
-
FLASH
-
security/immobiliser data (module-dependent)
-
coding/config
-
calibration blocks
Ensures donor modules behave identically to originals.
4. Software Recovery & Repair
Fixing corrupted software caused by:
-
failed OBD tuning
-
voltage interruption
-
incorrect writers
-
bad tuning files
-
partial writes
-
checksum errors
Bench/boot access restores full firmware structure safely.
5. IMMO Data Handling (EEPROM-based only)
Supported operations:
-
PIN extraction
-
EEPROM IMMO data repair
-
ECU–BCM sync on supported systems
-
IMMO area correction
-
VIN/PIN/ISN alignment (where accessible)
No key programming — data-level only.
6. Configuration & Coding Correction
We repair:
-
wrong coding after replacement
-
misconfigured modules
-
VIN mismatches
-
incorrect parameter sets
-
BCM/UCH configuration issues
Final coding is validated with diagnostic tools.
Typical Use Cases
Bench programming is ideal when:
-
the vehicle is not available
-
ECU/TCU/BCM needs cloning
-
module is from Copart salvage
-
OBD access is unsafe or blocked
-
module is in limp/no comms state
-
a workshop requires off-car programming
-
postal customers send modules for repair
Advantages of Bench Programming
-
no ignition cycles
-
no CAN interruptions
-
stable voltage — no bricked modules
-
access to full memory, not partial OBD reads
-
faster turnaround
-
works even with dead vehicles
Supported Modules
-
ECUs (Bosch / Siemens / Delphi / Denso / Marelli / Valeo)
-
TCUs (software-level only)
