These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all automotive electrical diagnostics and module services performed by Voltcheck Motors (“we”, “our”, “us”).
By booking, requesting or receiving any service, you (“you”, “your”, “the customer”) confirm full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms.

1. Scope of Services

Voltcheck Motors provides professional automotive electrical services, including:

• Automotive electrical diagnostics
• Diagnostics, programming and repair of ECU, TCU and BCM modules
• Module cloning, data transfer and bench testing
• Mobile diagnostics (subject to availability)
• Electrical circuit inspection and fault-finding

We reserve the right to decline any job at our sole discretion.
We do not provide mechanical repairs, bodywork or any services prohibited by law.

2. Basis of Service

All work is carried out on a best-effort basis.

We do not guarantee:

• That a fault will be fully resolved
• That programming or cloning will be successful if the module is damaged
• That the vehicle will function correctly if underlying issues exist
• That all faults will be identified during a single diagnostic session
• That previous third-party repair attempts will not affect results

Modern electronic systems are complex, and outcomes often depend on factors beyond our control.

3. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information about the vehicle

Ensure safe and unobstructed access for mobile services

Inform us of any previous repairs or modifications

Disable alarms, immobilisers, trackers or other devices if requested

Ensure the vehicle’s battery is in good condition

If these obligations are not met, diagnostic accuracy may be affected. Fees remain payable.

4. Diagnostic Limitations

• Diagnostics reflect the condition of the vehicle only at the time of inspection.
• Intermittent faults may not appear consistently.
• Hidden wiring damage, corrosion or CAN communication issues may require repeated inspections.
• Diagnostic fees are strictly non-refundable.

5. ECU, TCU and BCM Module Work

The result of programming, repair or cloning depends on:

• The condition of the original module
• Compatibility and condition of any donor module
• Quality of previous repair attempts
• Voltage stability, grounding and wiring health of the vehicle

Voltcheck Motors is not liable for:

• Faulty or incompatible donor modules supplied by the customer
• Hidden hardware or microcontroller defects
• Failures caused by third-party tampering
• Failure of other modules after programming
• Issues caused by low voltage, poor ground or unstable power supply

6. Customer-Supplied Modules or Parts

If you provide your own module or part:

• You are fully responsible for compatibility
• No warranty applies to customer-supplied parts
• Additional labour charges may apply if the part is defective or incompatible
• We may refuse installation if the part is unsafe or unsuitable

7. Fees and Payment Terms

• All services must be paid in full upon completion
• Call-out and diagnostic charges are non-refundable
• Prices may change if hidden defects are discovered
• Deposits may be required for certain services
• We reserve the right to retain modules or keys until all fees are paid (lien right)

8. Warranty – Strict Limitations

Warranty applies only to the work we performed, not the entire vehicle.

The warranty does not cover:

• Wiring faults, corrosion or poor connections
• Water damage or damp
• Voltage spikes or unstable battery power
• Issues caused by third-party repairs
• Failures of related or unrelated modules
• Problems arising from customer-supplied modules
• Intermittent faults that cannot be reproduced

Warranty is void if:

• The module is opened, modified or tampered with after service
• Any third party attempts repair after our work
• The vehicle suffers further damage or electrical faults after service

9. Limitation of Liability

Voltcheck Motors is not responsible for:

• Existing faults or underlying vehicle issues
• Mechanical problems
• New or unrelated faults appearing after diagnostics
• Module failures following programming or cloning
• Loss of income, business interruption or indirect damages
• Towing or recovery costs
• Failures caused by low voltage or poor grounding
• Damage from unsuitable customer-supplied parts

Our total liability is strictly limited to the amount paid for the service provided.

10. Cancellations and No-Show Policy

• Cancellations within 24 hours may be chargeable
• No-shows will incur a call-out fee
• If the vehicle is inaccessible or unsafe, a call-out fee will still apply

11. Personal Data

Customer data is processed exclusively for service delivery.
Details are provided in our Privacy Policy.

12. Right to Refuse Service

We may refuse or discontinue service if:

• The vehicle is unsafe
• Access is restricted
• The customer behaves aggressively or unprofessionally
• The requested work is illegal or unsafe
• The customer refuses to follow safety instructions

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively by the courts of the Republic of Ireland.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By booking, requesting or receiving any service from Voltcheck Motors, you confirm that you:

• Have read and understood these Terms
• Accept all conditions without exception
• Agree to the limitations and disclaimers set out above
