What We Do

Automatic Transmission Servicing

Regular transmission servicing helps maintain correct hydraulic operation, lubrication and reliable gear changes.

TCU Diagnostics & Repair

The Transmission Control Unit (TCU) manages critical transmission functions including gear selection, clutch operation, hydraulic control and communication with other vehicle systems.

Transmission Diagnostics

An adaptation or relearn should not be used as a substitute for diagnosis.

If a transmission enters limp mode, refuses to select a gear or develops shifting problems, we first establish the cause.

Our diagnostic process can include:

Full vehicle scan
Manufacturer-specific transmission and related control module fault codes are checked.

Live data analysis
Available clutch values, pressures, temperatures, gear positions, speed signals and sensor data are analysed.

Electrical testing
TCU power supplies, grounds, wiring, connectors and communication networks are checked where required.

TCU and mechatronic testing
Units can be removed and tested at bench level when necessary.

Repair
Supported electronic components, sensors, solenoids and control valves can be repaired or replaced according to the diagnostic findings.

Programming & Adaptation
Programming, coding, basic settings and adaptations are carried out where required.

Final Testing
The vehicle is rescanned and road tested after the work is completed.

Our Scope

Voltcheck Motors provides automatic transmission servicing and specialist TCU and mechatronic diagnostics, repair and programming.

We do not carry out complete internal mechanical gearbox rebuilds involving gearsets, shafts, bearings or complete clutch-pack rebuilds.

If diagnostics identify an internal mechanical failure outside our scope, we will advise you before any additional work is carried out.

Vehicles must be left with us for transmission diagnostics and repair.

Diagnosis is carried out first. Any repair, replacement parts, programming or additional work is quoted separately based on the faults found.
